For anyone who might have missed it,
President Trump just returned from a trip to Asia. Among the other
diplomatic tasks he undertook while traveling, he found time to
negotiate the release of three American college basketball players
who had been arrested in China for stealing a pair of sunglasses.
Upon their release, the three players
had to be prompted by the President before they thanked him.
Meanwhile, LaVar Ball, the
father of one of the kids, outright refused to thank President Trump,
or even acknowledge that he was the main reason his son was back on
American soil. Adding insult to injury, Ball came back to state that
if anyone deserved any form of gratitude, it was Chinese President
Xi.
