President Trump's Feud With LaVar Ball

"Donald-Trump" (CC BY 2.0) by Sebastian Vital

For anyone who might have missed it, President Trump just returned from a trip to Asia. Among the other diplomatic tasks he undertook while traveling, he found time to negotiate the release of three American college basketball players who had been arrested in China for stealing a pair of sunglasses.

Upon their release, the three players had to be prompted by the President before they thanked him. Meanwhile, LaVar Ball, the father of one of the kids, outright refused to thank President Trump, or even acknowledge that he was the main reason his son was back on American soil. Adding insult to injury, Ball came back to state that if anyone deserved any form of gratitude, it was Chinese President Xi.

Welcoming Home A Veterans Day Hero

Returning to DFW airport yesterday after an out of state business trip, I️ witnessed something incredible. After landing, I️ left my plane, and on the way to the baggage claim, only two gates down from mine, I️ was stopped in my tracks.

I’m a huge supporter of our military and law enforcement, so I’m a sucker for any display of patriotism. Flags, National Anthem, historical monuments, all of it. So when I️ was about to exit to the baggage claim and saw a crowd congregating around a bunch of flags in the terminal, I️ had to take a look.

I️ had never witnessed the return of an Honor Flight before. But by some fluke, I️ happened to be at the airport at the right time. I️ have to say, it was incredibly moving.

My Thoughts On The NFL National Anthem Protests

"Oakland Raiders National Anthem Kneeling" (CC BY-SA 2.0) by Keith Allison
As a supporter of free speech and the first amendment, I fully respect the right that all NFL players and other professional athletes have, to take a knee in peaceful protest of what they perceive to be racism, police violence, injustice or oppression of minorities. Even though I believe their justification for the protest is severely flawed, I completely support their right to express their opinion.

What those players and coaches should acknowledge however, is that the team owners also have the same right to bench them or terminate their contract - not for protesting, but for doing something that owner believes hurts his team's brand.

South Texas Flooding and the Alt-Left

"Hurricane Harvey Flood - 8/26/17 through" (CC BY 2.0) by jillccarlson

Okay liberals, so tell me, what are Antifa and Black Lives Matter doing to help the hurricane victims in south Texas?

The reason I ask, is this; I know police officers, fire fighters, and other people who liberals would consider "alt-right" or "White Nationalists" (AKA: proud Americans), who are currently using their boats and 4-wheel drive vehicles to rescue strangers from the flooding and get them to safety.

Condemnation of Race-Motivated Hate; Comparing the Left to the Right

"Make America Great Again" (CC BY-NC-ND 2.0) by JamesMcNellis

As of this moment, roughly 58 hours after the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, I have not witnessed a single person standing up for or justifying the KKK or the neo-Nazi groups who chose to attend.

I also have not seen or heard anyone say anything positive about the young man who "allegedly" drove his car into the crowd (even though truthfully, we don't yet know for a fact that it was with malicious intent).

Now you have to understand, I run with a pretty conservative crowd. Many of my friends and acquaintances are proud, gun-toting, freedom-loving, MAGA hat-wearing Trump voters. In other words, my friends and I are the people that liberals would have you believe are all bigoted racists who hate anyone who doesn't happen to be a white person of European descent.

Understanding Unite the Right Rally Violence

Why is it that yesterday's Unite the Right rally seemed to be mostly violent, while the Women's March (a much larger rally) was mostly peaceful? My answer would be that the difference in outcome is due to the attitudes of those who oppose them.

Sure, plenty of people, including myself, opposed the Women's March. Not because we are anti-woman, but because we disagree with the rhetoric and ideology used to justify it. But did you see any violent protests against it? Did you see any Trump supporters hurling feces, screaming insults, or otherwise opposing the event? No, you didn't, because our opposition was carried out with respect.

Yesterday's event however, was different. The people who opposed the UTR event (mostly Antifa and Black Lives Matter), didn't peacefully allow this rally to take place. In their minds, since they oppose the views of these rally-goers, they believe themselves to be morally-superior, and therefore justified in resorting to violent measures.

The Loss of Another Childhood Idol; Eulogizing Chester Bennington

As a teenager you don't recognize and certainly can't comprehend the emotional connection you're forming when you turn on the television or listen to your radio. At that moment, you're just escaping, or celebrating, or blowing off some steam. You have a fight with your parents, and you have to release that frustration. You break up with your girlfriend, and you have to be angry, because if you don't get angry, you know you're going to get sad and tears will follow.

So you run to your room and slam your door, or get in your car, find a straightaway and stomp the pedal to the floor. Then once you've escaped, you crank up some music that you know will get you to that place.

Commerce Police Chief, Kerry Crews - The Latest Victim of Social Justice Warriors

Diabolical Rantings of a Single Dad - www.diabolicalrantings.com - Commerce Police Chief, Kerry Crews - The Latest Victim of Social Justice Warriors

From the years of 2002 to 2008, I attended college at Texas A&M University – Commerce, in Commerce, Texas. Until 2005, I was your typical off-campus commuter student, living at my parents' house 20 miles away. But in 2005, I joined a fraternity at TAMU-C as a last resort to get myself involved on campus, before taking a more extreme measure, like transferring out of state to attend a college close to one of my childhood friends.

Most of you who follow my page know that I am a huge supporter of law enforcement, and have been pretty outspoken about accusations against officers, as I discussed in my article “Law Enforcement, Racism and the Media”. So when reports of a “racial incident” involving Commerce Police Chief, Kerry Crews first began showing up in the news and on social media a few weeks ago, I was pretty quick to lend my voice both on my blog page and my personal page to supporting him.

You see, on Saturday, May 20th, former “Miss Black Texas”, and TAMU-C student, Carmen Ponder, accused Chief Crews of calling her a “black bitch”, after she had confronted him over supposedly allowing his underage child to drive erratically in front of her.

My Rights As A Father, Do Not Care About Your Feelings

My Rights As A Father Do Not Care About Your Feelings / Diabolical Rantings of a Single Dad / www.diabolicalrantings.com

Yesterday morning, the Friday before Father's Day, I joined men and women across the country in standing for parental equality and fathers' rights at the fourth annual Fatherless Day Equal Parenting Rally. I stood at the state Capitol in Austin, TX with 50+ people; both men and women who are sick of the injustices of the American "family" court system. People who are sick of seeing Fathers treated like second-class citizens, or ATM's.

I spoke to men who have not been "allowed" to see their children in years, despite paying child support and doing everything the court system required. Because while police and the court system will enforce a child support order by threatening jail time and suspension of his drivers license, a mother can refuse to allow her child's Father access to his child during his court-ordered parenting time and the police and District Attorney will refuse to help.

6 Sarcastic Facts From James Comey's Testimony

Today was the day everyone had been waiting for in the Trump/Russia “collusion” investigation. Democrats believed this would be the point when they finally gained real hard evidence that would justify them pursuing articles of impeachment. Republicans on the other hand, were certain that James Comey's testimony would finally put an end to the speculation of any wrongdoing on the part of Trump and his campaign.

1. We are all right; always

In the end, what did each side gain from the Testimony? We all got exactly what we wanted! We got a whole lot of nothing, which we could twist and reason and interpret to mean that our side was 100% correct and that the other side should just shut up, “because whether they like it or not, they are wrong.” We got just enough information to both back up our side and to discredit everyone else.

Truthfully, we all have selective hearing when it comes to politics. We all have the candidates or issues that are important to us, and we will make excuses for them until our dying breath if necessary, as long as we believe we are right.

Trump Fires Comey (Spoiler Alert: Democrats Are Outraged)

I sat down at my computer with the intention of writing about the firing of FBI Director, James Comey. But as I toyed around with angles to take on the topic, I realized that anything I could say had most likely already been said.

Unless you have been off the grid or in a coma for the last year or so, I'm sure you know the story of Comey's involvement in the investigation of Hillary Clinton's private email server, as well as the investigation into Trump's supposed collaboration with the Russian government. In fact, I have even written previously about the FBI investigation's potential impact on the election in my article "Anthony Weiner's Wiener Could Help Determine Winner Of Presidential Election".

The Real Reason Trump Fired Comey

I've heard speculation in the media that Trump's reason for firing James Comey was to "appease" the democrats after Hillary Clinton essentially stated last week that he was to blame for her loss to Trump. The liberal media is reporting that Trump is "shocked" that it didn't change anything when it was announced that Comey had been removed. They (through anonymous sources, of course) say that he believed the Democrats wanted Comey removed, so he didn't understand why they were upset, rather than being happy and grateful to him. Of course, these reports are finely-tuned to fit the liberal narrative that Trump is just an arrogant buffoon who doesn't know what is going on and is unfit to hold the office.

I disagree though. I believe that if I, a lowly blogger, can see by now that the Democrats are going to oppose any and every move Trump makes, surely Trump himself is well-aware of this too. My opinion is that he knew exactly how the liberals and the media would react. He was just waiting patiently for Clinton and the Democrats to come out with a hard stance on something (in this case, blaming Comey for Clinton's loss), only so he could make a move that would appear to be an effective response to that stance.

A Disturbing Trend Among Conservatives

Most of you who follow my page know that I am a fairly moderate, but right-leaning conservative with a Libertarian stance on many issues. However, even though I normally side with conservatives, I have always said that I am not above calling out those same conservatives when I believe they have screwed up.

Looking back at the last couple of years, it would be difficult to honestly say that Democrats are the party of free speech. They might make this claim, but the truth is, they only support free speech if it aligns with their "progressive" agenda on topics such as Feminism, Islam, LGBTQ rights, abortion, law enforcement, and Black Lives Matter.

If someone speaks out in support of any of their "approved" issues and receives any kind of backlash, even if the claim is unsubstantiated, liberals are immediately up in arms. They immediately begin demanding that the company be boycotted, or the offending employee be fired, even if the alleged offensive act did not take place while they were on the clock. They picket, protest, scream, yell, and plaster the offender's name and picture all over social media; doing their best to completely ruin their life.

You Have A Spending Problem

Anyone who has ever made a budget knows that if you are spending more money than you're making, you have to figure out how to reduce some of those expenditures. This means listing everything you spend money on in any given month and then deciding which expenses are necessary and which are not. At some point, if you're going to disrupt the pattern of over-spending, you will have to start eliminating some unnecessary expenses and reducing others.

For your average family, this usually means eating out less, going on fewer vacations, not buying new clothes as frequently, and maybe even dropping your cable or satellite TV service. Obviously different families and even the various members of those families would probably prioritize the importance of those expenditures differently. But ultimately, the final decision lies upon the the head of that household; the person who earns the money and then turns around and spends it to keep that roof over their heads. That person has to make a difficult decision which no matter what, will piss off at least one member of their household.

When you aren't the person writing the checks or paying the bills online, cringing as you watch that number in your bank account change from black to red, it's difficult to comprehend the importance of these decisions. It's easy to get used to all of the luxuries you have and begin thinking of them as something you are entitled to.

Trump's Ever-Elusive Tax Return

Is it really a shock to anyone that Trump is choosing so far to not release his tax return? Look at how he has been treated by the media and everyone on the left who oppose him. It doesn't matter what he does, they dig and dig until they find one little thing to criticize him about, then they blow it out of proportion, making it out to be breaking headline news, worthy of immediate impeachment. If they can't find anything, they just make stuff up!

Sure, every other president in recent history has released their tax returns. But they did it voluntarily; not because it was a requirement. None of those former presidents had anything even close to the wealth of Trump, so there is hardly even a fair comparison between them. Also, none of those men were ever run through the gauntlet by the media in the way that Trump has been. Even if they had been, social media wasn't around to help spread the newest absurd fabrication of a story among millions of low information voters within minutes of hitting "publish."

A Day Without A Woman; Protesting The Protest

The need for women is no more or less essential than the need for men. Mothers are no more important than fathers. Wives are no more important than husbands. However, I don't hear any men threatening to stay home to protest the fact that they are much more likely to die or be injured in workplace accidents (because they are more likely to take the dangerous and higher paying jobs). I don't hear men threatening to stay home because they are much less likely to have custody of their children if they get divorced. Or even the fact that men are much more likely to commit suicide.

Advocates for the “Day Without A Woman” protest are quick to point out that women are less likely to speak up at work, ask for raises, or negotiate starting pay. And they're right, at least on those points. But how is that the fault of men? And how does it help for those women to stay home today?

Milo Leaves Breitbart

It is absolutely absurd to see how the left targets any conservative who happens to have a loyal following. However, it does certainly serve to flaunt the undeniable power they have, by-way of the liberal media, to crush and destroy those who oppose them. I'm disappointed to see Milo Yiannopoulos leave Breitbart, but pleased to hear he will continue his speaking engagements and also still intends to have his book published.

I hate seeing celebrities, politicians and other public figures cave to pressure to resign when they are attacked by the left. I hate it almost as much as I detest hearing that companies have fired or disciplined an employee after being made out as an example by the media for saying or doing the wrong thing. In the eyes of those on the left, this means they won and only gives them more power when they are intent upon ruining the next person with whom they disagree. It only serves to throw fuel on the flames of their hatred; further-amplifying the overwhelming fear people have of opposing them. Unfortunately, it also serves to feed their unquenchable egos and ravenous thirst for conservative blood.

Valentine's Day Grievances

Every year as Valentine's Day looms closer and closer, you begin seeing the posts on social media. People who finally determined it was unlikely enough for them to have a Valentine's Day date, that they become brave enough to let the world know how much they loathe the day.

It’s hilarious to me how much it bothers some people when I say that I hate Valentine’s Day. Almost without fail, if I make a comment about hating it, I begin receiving two types of messages. The first type, are the angry and hateful messages, calling me an “arrogant asshole” because I won’t let them enjoy their “special day” with their special someone.

The second type are the women who feel the need to send me messages, just letting me know that they aren't like all the other women out there who are obsessed with the day (yes, you are). And they don't expect their man to spend anything on them (yes, you do). In fact, all they care about is spending time with the love of their life (you lying bitches!).

Hey Women; You Are Not Oppressed!

Yes, I know all the standard rhetoric spewed by feminists and liberal politicians.

“it's a fact, there are more sexual assaults now than ever before!”
“it's been proven that women are paid less than men!”
“women have a right to affordable healthcare and abortions!”

Well ladies (and gentlemen who have put your testicles away for safe keeping), at the risk of surely being labeled a sexist and misogynist, I'm just going to say what everyone else is afraid to say to you; you are not being oppressed. In fact, you live in a country that caters to you, purely because there was a time that you actually were oppressed.
